The INVADER
JET DRAGSTER is HERE!!
Al Eierdam, (Former Jet & Rocket
Car World Record Holder) has returned from a 6 year retirement from the
sport that he loves. Al returned to the drivers’ seat at the end of
1998 at the coaxing of his sons Curt, Christopher, and Craig Eierdam. After
attending a few races during early 1998 as a spectator, Al decided the
Touring Jet Exhibition Cars have turned into just other "RACE
CARS" and the show-business that Al enjoyed giving his fans over the
years has been lost. Being the showman and always the one eager to entertain,
Al decided that the time has come to return to the Touring Jet Car ranks.
After assembling a completely new
300" wheel-base, Pratt-Whitney J-60 powered state of the art Jet
Dragster. The 1999 "Team Invader" performed before tens of
thousands of appreciative and excited fans at numerous Drag strips and Air
shows throughout the Western United States.
1999 - 2002 were a success for
"Team Invader" and Al, regaining his status as a popular
entertainer and showman. The 2003 season had rookie driver Curt Eierdam at
the controls. Since the 2003 season, the Invader has lived up to its
potential as a spectacular draw, ever increasing their visibility with appearances
in a national Lexus commercial as well as the NHRA: Countdown to the
Championship video game.
"Team Invader" never disappoints
fans and always take the time to meet and talk to everyone they meet,
whether it’s in the pits or the fast food restaurants while
traveling. In each case, "Team Invader" makes sure they give the
fans an autograph and an encouraging word. "Team Invader" donates
considerable time visiting elementary schools, children’s hospitals,
and numerous children’s charities displaying the "INVADER"
Jet Dragster and doing what they enjoy most, helping the kids feel better
about them-selves.
